Bjarni Viðar Sigurðsson is one of our most skilled ceramic artists. He previously worked in the banking sector but decided to change careers, studying ceramics in Denmark, where he graduated in 2000. He now runs a studio here in Iceland and is one of the artists who has worked with Rammagerðin for a long time. Bjarni's Work is charcterized by simple, pure forms covered in varied and powerful self-made glazes, making each piece unique. Conventional rules of glazing ceramics are swayed and broken in order to create new and colorful nuances..

Please note: All items are handmade and hand-glazed, without the use of a wheel, which gives each of Bjarni’s pieces its unique shape and color.
