Knitting is a deeply rooted part of Iceland's heritage, and Socks have long been a staple of this tradition. It is worth noting that in the year 1624, knitwear was one of Icelanders' main export products, with an impressive 72,231 pairs of handknitted wooly socks exported that year alone. Still today, wooly socks are an absolute necessity in all Icelandic homes, providing essential warmth and comfort during the long, cold winters.
