ENDURTAKK x Rammagerðin Desing March-Hönnunar Mars 2026
ENDURTAKK was started by brothers Rik and Ross McNair, who began by recycling a big bag of cast-off hoodies at a pop-up market back in 2020.
The name came about when Rik was taking an Icelandic course and his teacher kept using the word "endurtaka" (repeat) — it stuck in his head. By swapping "taka" for "takk" (thanks), the name plays on the words for again, take, repeat, and thanks all at once.

We are incredibly excited to host ENDURTAKK at Rammagerðin, from the 6th to the 10th of May at Laugavegur 31, Kirkjuhúsið, during Hönnunarmars — Design March. Come and experience what these talented designers have to offer!
Taking unsold Rammagerðin wool products, we deconstruct and reinvent them into newgarments and accessories. Sweaters and blankets become dresses, hoods, hats andexperimental hybrids. Through cutting, over-dyeing, and reassembly we explore wool’sversatility. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, carrying both the memory of its original form and theenergy of its reinvention. A celebration of tradition transformed by contemporary hands.
This project directly responds to the new EU textile waste regulations arriving in 2026.Instead of discarding surplus stock, ENDURTAKK treats it as valuable raw material bycutting, colouring, and looping it back into the design cycle.
